Pilgrimage to St George's Cathedral, Southwark
KS2 have begun their Journey in Hope this week.
To celebrate the beginning of the Jubilee Year, all of our Key Stage 2 classes went on a pilgrimage to and around St George's Cathedral, Southwark. Years 6 and 4 went on Monday and were the first people through the Holy Door for 25 years. Our parents, pupils and staff were welcomed by Cathedral staff and given a guided talk about the Cathedral and its history before children explored the different shrines, using our self-made guide books. We were delighted to celebrate Mass with the rest of the parishioners before a quick lunch in Amigo Hall and the journey back home. We are so grateful to be able to have such a wonderful, welcoming beacon of hope in our Diocese. Thank you to everyone who helped our children on their Journey in Hope.
