At St William of York, we use Makaton to help us to communicate our words and hymns to all of the community. The children know lots of symbols already but they learnt even more this week. We were fortunate enough to be joined by Elizabeth to teach our Prayer Monitors how to sign the Our Father. They were so engaged and keen to discuss the meanings of many of the words. They have another session next week and then will share what they've learnt with the rest of our school.
