This week's letter from Mrs Mayers...
|
|
Dear Parents and Carers
We started the week with SWOYSA's Bake-Off bake sale and we were absolutely blown away by the number of incredible cakes that you and your children brought in! I would like to say a huge 'thank you' to all of our families who spent their Sundays baking to support this event. I would also like to thank SWOYSA for continuing to work tirelessly at our fundraising events. This year, we are trying to raise money for playground improvements and we are very grateful for your generosity and support with this. To see our full list of winners, please see below.
Next half term, we will have our school Science Week on the week commencing 24th March 2025. We are looking for parents or other family members who work in the world of science. If you would be interested in talking to our children about your job and how it links to science, please complete this form to let us know your availability. Mr Taylor, our science leader, will be in touch after half term to confirm dates and timings with you.
Parents' Evening will be shortly after half term, please book your appointments using the booking form links below. I hope you all have a lovely half term break and we look forward to seeing you after the holiday.
Kind regards
Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)

RSE Curriculum
This week, the children have begun working through their RSE curriculum topics. The RSE curriculum covers a wide range of topics, e.g. relationships, staying safe, keeping your body healthy, consent, changes to our bodies as we get older etc.
We follow a scheme of work called 'Life to the Full', which is produced by Ten Ten. This programme is approved by the diocese and teaches children about key topics in an age-appropriate way.
If you would like to see some of the resources that the children are using, you can log in to our Ten Ten Parent Portal. The details of this are below:
