Dear Parents and Carers
This week we launched 'Friday Club'! Friday Club is a new initiative to celebrate the hard work and achievement of our fantastic pupils. Every Friday, a select group of children will be nominated by their teacher to attend Friday Club and have a cup of hot chocolate with myself or Ms Thorn. To be nominated, pupils need to be recognised for going 'over and above' and remembering our school rule: Be ACE!
Yr5 and Yr6 were visited by the Breck Foundation this week. The Breck Foundation is at the forefront of efforts to safeguard children and young people online. The Breck Foundation workshop is an extremely important event for our students, as it helps to educate them about online safety, the dangers of gaming and other forms of social media. There are a wide range of resources for parents about keeping children safe online and these can be accessed here. We will be continuing with this topic across the school as Safer Internet Day is coming up on 11th February.
Next week, Yr3, 4, 5 and 6 have class trips lots of trips organised so please make sure your child has a warm coat and packed lunch if they are attending an outing. Ms Webster is also leading our EYFS and KS1 Reading Workshop on Tuesday 28th January at 9am in the Music Room. Please do join us if you can!
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind regards
Hayley Mayers (Headteacher)
